We were in the area and searched “dim sum near me”. So glad Google suggested this place. It is now our top choice for dim sum. They don’t have a lot of choices like you would see at a restaurant with the dim sum carts. But they had enough to satisfy our cravings. Very fresh and tasty. Much better than the places with carts. I have been to the ones with carts even at opening. Dim Sum Cafe is fresh. You will taste the difference. It would be great if they offered more dim sum instead of the many Chinese dishes they have. I also wish that the hot tea would be complimentary vs $1.50 per person. We ordered mapo tofu without pork and garlic Chinese broccoli off the menu. Broccoli was excellent. Soup dumplings, sticky rice, and crystal shrimp were great. The custard bun breading is not what we prefer. BBQ pork bao tastes the same as other places. Steamed dumplings were decent, nothing spectacular.Service was fantastic. I appreciate that they gave little bowls with three dividers for chili oil, chili flakes, and a sweet and sour type sauce. Soy sauce bottle at the table. Place was always full but no line on a Sunday lunch time.

Good food, very authentic dishes. The egg white dry scallop fried rice is on point. The honey garlic chicken was great. The dim sum and XLB was mediocre. The pan fried noodles are great. Prices are pretty high but quality is good.

I have come here multiple times and couldn’t recommend it enough until today. Their food is delicious and I haven’t gotten something on the menu I didn’t like. But what really changed my view was my experience today. I went to lunch with my husband and some extended family. We expected to wait of course we were a large group. We each got a dim sum slip per couple/family to order separately. So when the plates started coming out I wasn’t surprised it was taking a moment to get served. We got the Pork/Shrimp Shumai, BBQ pork buns, & beef black bean w rice. We waited expecting it to be a little bit. But then after 20 minutes we got our order of soup dumplings, custard buns and steamed pork dumplings. We chit chatted and waited out other group got everything they ordered and left. But we were still waiting in anticipation of my husbands favorite the black sesame buns and bbq pork slices along with steamed pork ribs. But after 30 minutes of waiting they never came. So I asked for my check and advised them of the missing plates. The server left said they’d review it. And came back stating the kitchen marked it as made and they couldn’t do anything about it. I clearly let them know and they could see on our table we never got it. I insisted on a removal from my tab or at least my food. But neither was done. They said there is nothing they could do about it because the kitchen made it and it was handed out. I was left paying for the food I didn’t get and had no choice but to pay for gratuity because we were a larger party. After this terrible experience I don’t see myself going back.

Reviews

Dim Sum Cafe is a hidden gem for dim sum enthusiasts, offering fresh and tasty dishes that surpass traditional dim sum carts. While some reviewers wished for more dim sum options and complimentary tea, the food quality and service stood out positively. The made-to-order dumplings like soup dumplings, sticky rice, crystal shrimp, and Chinese broccoli received high praise. However, there were mixed experiences with certain dishes like custard buns and BBQ pork bao. Despite occasional service hiccups such as delays in serving orders or issues with missing plates not being addressed satisfactorily by staff, many visitors found Dim Sum Cafe to be a delightful spot for authentic Chinese cuisine.

Worst of all, the food was not worth taking a food, either sanitation or service. Old Woman responded with the worst service, asking for chopsticks, but never bring the chopsticks. I was expecting the food as well, but the spoons for the soup and plates of the wantang soup made me unpleasant as they remained greasy. Also we ordered Ice peach tea, but it was tastes weird. The xiaolongbao was served dry, and they were too thick with dumpling skin. This was nothing different from the steamed shrimp dumplings. Overall, I'm not sure what people consider and go to this restaurant, but it's not worth price at all, and the food isn't incredibly tasty. Most of all, the service is unfortunate.

This place is amazing!!! The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The highlight though is the food. All their dumplings and dim sum items are made to order. Their selection of dim sum items is limited but they have a full menu of other Chinese food dishes that will complement nicely with the dim sum. Don’t be put off by the look of the restaurant as it is not fancy at all. This place is awesome, I highly recommend it.
