HPU MAT 2024: Cutoff OUT, Result, Selection Process, Admission (2024)

HPU MAT exam 2024: Himachal Pradesh University Management Aptitude Test or HPU MAT is the management entrance test conducted by the Business School of Himachal Pradesh University for admission to its MBA programme. The authority released the HPU MAT exam result on the official website- hpuniv.ac.in on June 24, 2024.HPU MAT 2024 cutoff has been released by authorities in online mode on June 29. The authorities will conduct the GD/ PI rounds for subsidized seatsfrom July 8 to 11, 2024 and for non-subsidized seats, it will be from July 15 to 20, 2024.

The HPU MAT 2024 was conducted on June 6, 2024. Around 3,000 candidates appear for the offline exam (paper-pencil) every year. The HP University, Shimla offers around 50 (15 Subsidized + 35 Non-Subsidized) seats through this test.

• The eligibility criteria of HPU MAT 2024 state that General category candidates with a minimum of 50 percent marks in Graduation in any stream from a recognized university can apply for the exam.
• The HPU MAT 2024 eligibility criteria are a little different for reserved categories (SC/ ST). The candidate who belongs to the mentioned categories with a minimum of 45 percent marks in Graduation is eligible for the exam.
• The exam has an age limit of 26 years for boys and 28 years for girls. The maximum age for SC/ ST category girls is 29 years.
• The age limit is not applicable for non-subsidized students, defense personnel, and nominee of the State/ Central Government of India. Candidates are advised to check the HPU MAT eligibility criteria before applying for the exam.

As per the HPU MAT exam notification, the window for the application form for HPU MAT 2024 has been closed in online mode on May 25, 2024.

To fill out the HPU MAT 2024 application form, candidates are required to have a scanned copy of their passport size photograph & signature, a scanned copy of the candidate’s parent’s signature, passing certificate(s) and mark sheet (s), and a valid mobile number & email address.

The application fee for the General and Reserved categories is Rs. 1000 and Rs. 500 respectively. The fee can be paid via net banking, credit/debit card, and bank challan.

The HPU MAT 2024 entrance exam was held on June 6. As per the HPU MAT 2024 exam pattern, the exam will be an offline test (paper-pencil medium).

The duration of the exam is two hours and is composed of 200 multiple-choice questions divided into four sections - English Comprehension & Language, General Intelligence & Critical Reasoning, General Knowledge & Business Awareness, and Numerical Ability & Data Interpretation.

Each section has around 50 questions and each question carries 1 mark. The exam doesn’t have negative markings. Candidates are advised to attempt all the questions. The exam is conducted at multiple centres across Himachal Pradesh including Mandi, Palampur, Shimla, Chandigarh, Dharamshala, etc.

HPU Business School was issued the admit card for the HPU MAT 2024 exam in online mode last week of May. To download the HPU MAT 2024 admit card, candidates have to visit the official website and log in with their HPU MAT registration id and password.

To appear for the exam, candidates must carry the HPU MAT admit card 2024 to the exam centre. No candidate will be allowed to appear for the exam without the admit card. Keep a copy of the admit card until the completion of the admission process as it’s required at every stage.

HPU MAT 2024 result has been declared in online mode on June 24. The test-takers can easily check and download it from the official website. HPU MAT 2024 Cutoff (Subsidized and Non-Subsidized Seats)

The selection process for HPU MAT 2024 will take place after the result and cutoff are announced. On the basis of the cutoff, candidates will be shortlisted in the first stage. The HPU MAT 2024 selection process consists of Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Then, the shortlisted candidates will appear for GD and PI.

• GD and PI are an integral part of the HPU MAT 2024 selection process at HPU Business School. Only the shortlisted candidates appear for these rounds.
• The institute gives certain weightage to these rounds in the final merit list. Candidates need to perform well in HPU MAT, GD, and PI processes to get the admission offer.
• Candidates have to submit their academic and professional documents and the supporting documentation that they have been shortlisted for at the time of GD and PI.
• HPUBS offers around 120 seats for its management programme including 60 for Subsidised categories and 60 for Non-Subsidised categories.

This is tentative date and might change based on any further announcement so you will have to keep yourself updated. The eligibility criteria for the HPU MAT is that a candidate should have completed graduation from a recognized university with atleast 50% marks (45% for SC ST).
